At Aligned Health we are proud of our amazing Team who offer the highest possible level of patient care
with honest and realistic advice.
I studied at Swansea University and graduated with a 1st class honours in Osteopathy however, I am originally from Kenya with some Indian roots in me! I am fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC). I joined the Aligned Health team because of their dedication to achieving their goals and the support network they have, not only with their patients, but also amongst the whole team! I am looking forward to developing my experience and knowledge with a team that thrives to grow.
The reason I chose to study Osteopathy stems from personal experience and wanting to help others in their journey of being pain free and best possible wellbeing. I have a growing interest to work with babies and support women through their pregnancy and working with the team gives me that opportunity! This has led me to study Cranio-Sacral techniques. I am also qualified in traditional and kinesiology taping in sports.
Outside of work I enjoy doing some art work as well as travelling around. I also enjoy taking photographs of wildlife and sceneries!
I graduated with a Masters in Osteopathy from Swansea University. I decided to join Aligned Health and the fantastic team that Helen has built in order to better my knowledge regarding patient wellness. I am also fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOC).
I chose to study osteopathy as I have always wanted to work in healthcare so that I could help others achieve their desired health and Wellbeing goals in a progressive, alternative approach.
I appreciate every aspect within osteopathy, however, my favourite part is working holistically with every type of patient, young and old.
Outside of work I enjoy travelling and walking along coastal trails especially with family and friends. I am an avid photographer and a, known for meticulously focusing on getting the ‘perfect’ shot.
I was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and have been living on the Wirral since moving north from Oxfordshire having studied Osteopathy at Oxford Brookes University.
As well as Osteopathy I am a qualified Running Technique Specialist and Movement Coach. Previous qualifications gained include Sports Therapy and in teaching Alpine Skiing which has allowed an exciting career of teaching in the mountains of the French Alps, across Europe and beyond.
Osteopathy is about treating the whole body not just the primary area of pain and the body, therefore, has the potential of responding quicker. My satisfaction comes from seeing an individual move freely, without pain or limitation. They may have achieved something they thought was not possible or have changed their prospective on life.
Outside of work I love spending time with my family, especially if that involves skiing! I have previously been a model for the Telegraph – but you’ll have to ask me yourself if you want to know more about that one!
I’ve spent most of my working life in the health and fitness industry. Before training in massage I worked as a fitness instructor, personal trainer and then as a college sports tutor. After taking a break from work to look after my children I wanted to expand my knowledge and gain a new skill and decided to train as a sports massage therapist.
I chose massage because I had seen and experienced its many benefits first hand and wanted to be able to provide those benefits to other people. From easing pain to reducing stress and tension, preventing injury to speeding up recovery time – massage is amazing!!
Since I started practicing as a massage therapist I’ve gained an enormous amount of experience and knowledge. Alongside my work at the clinic I’m a regular volunteer at many events (such as the Chester marathon and half marathon) and I have an ongoing role at Chester Football Club as the first team massage therapist. I also do pitch-side first aid work for local rugby and football teams which involves hands on management of sports injuries immediately after they occur.
I absolutely love working at Aligned Health, the patients are amazing and the team that I work with are all outstanding. In fact I’ve been so inspired by working with Helen and the team that I’m now studying part time to become a chiropractor myself!
I graduated from The University of Hertfordshire in 2017 with a 1st class (hons) BSc in Sports Therapy. After graduating I spent three months backpacking my way around New Zealand, Australia and Bali. Unfortunately my desire to keep travelling grew a lot quicker than my bank account so I decided to become a pirate and join the yachting industry as a Sports Massage Therapist, giving me the chance to continue my adventure whilst earning some money too!
During the past year I have also gained diploma certificates in Reflexology, Myofascial Cupping and Advanced Deep Tissue.
I am particularly interested in expanding my skillset to pregnancy care including pregnancy massage and pre/post natal Pilates. I am excited to begin my training in April 2020 to become a certified APPI Pilates instructor.
Being a Jersey girl I enjoy spending my free time on the beach, in the sea or camping with my family and friends.
I am excited to get stuck in with Aligned Health and look forward to utilising my current deep tissue techniques in order to support each patient’s voyage to recovery.
I have been a qualified level 4 certificate in Sports Massage Therapy since September 2018.
Absolutely loving my time as a sports massage therapist; and loving my time even more, since joining Aligned Health. Having a team around me with the support and care we provide, not only for our patients; but the support and care between the team makes me excited to provide my services every day.
I find that having a regular massage really benefits the mind and muscles. Sports massage has an added bonus of looking into the cause of an injury, recovery process and preventative measures for the future.
My background has always been into sports and on a weekly basis I help out at gyms and local sports teams offering my services from a physical massage, to educating sports performers about home care as well as explaining now massage is key in maintenance and recovery. I also help out at the Chester marathons, where we give massages to runners before and after which contributes to their muscles being efficiently warmed up as well as being effective in the recovery process.
I’m a fully qualified Sports Massage Therapist and my role includes using deep tissue massage to aid recovery, and alleviate stress and tension which has built within the muscles from daily life. Muscular tension, stress and fatigue affects us all and therefore you don’t have to be a sports person to feel the benefits.
I am extremely passionate about helping others and find it incredibly rewarding helping patients to achieve their goals, whether that being; to help reduce stress levels, improve mobility, decrease pain levels, or in case of an athlete, encourage optimal performance!
I love being a member of the team here at Aligned Health because every member of the team strives to ensure that every patient feels welcome, and receives quality care throughout their voyage to Wellbeing.
As a member of the massage therapist team here at Aligned Health my role is to use my experience, both as a sports massage therapist and in patient care, to help all our patients on their wellbeing voyage.
I was first introduced to massage as a teen when I was a keen runner. The difference it made to me during recovery and maintaining wellbeing has left a lasting impression and I wish to have everyone who walks through the door experience the same feelings.
The reason I chose to study Ports Rehab is because I strongly believe in treating the cause behind the superficial symptoms.
I have always had an interest in the human body and how it works which is why I decided to go back to college in 2017 and study my Level 3 Sports Massage Therapy. I loved what I had learned so much that I wanted to carry on and I completed my Level 4 Sports Massage Therapy in 2019.
I have had great opportunities to attend events, like the Chester Marathon, and perform massage for the participants. I also took part in an event called Three Peaks by Train in which I gave massages to the walkers’ on a moving train between the mountains. Although is was not the easiest thing to do, with the train in motion, it was fun and it was fantastic to help everyone get to the end and achieve their goal.
It is great seeing the results of massage on the people I treat and how it can change people’s day to day life.
I am a busy mum of three and, along with my partner, we enjoy getting outside as much as possible. Being a member of the team here at Aligned Health is great as I get to see the patient’s wellbeing voyage and how they improve with their treatments. It is lovely to be a part of a caring, focused and excellent team.
My role in the clinic is as the Lead Clinic Assistant which involved making sure that everything runs as smoothly as possible on a daily basis to enable our wonderful practitioners to focus all their energy and attention on the patients. I have 10 years experience of working in an industry where customer care was a priority and I hope to ensure that every patient feels well cared for after visiting the practice.
I also lead our fantastic team of Clinical Assistants covering all aspects of their role, placing a particular emphasis on making sure that our culture, ethos and high standards of quality assurance are always maintained.
My excitement for this role comes from seeing the dedication and passion that the practitioners have for their patients and seeing the difference this treatment can make to peoples lives. There is nothing better than seeing a patient walk out of the clinic with a smile on their face.
Out of working hours, I enjoy spending my time with my husband and children. I am also passionate about football and taking care of our three beautiful rescue dogs.
As a Clinic Assistant here at Aligned Health I love getting to know our patients on a more personal level, celebrating their successes and making them feel a part of our little community here. I enjoy being a part of the team ensuring that every patient gets a warm welcome whilst assisting our practitioners to ensure they have everything they need.
Outside of work I graduated from University of Central Lancashire with an honours degree in History and Politics. I also love all things Harry Potter and still believe my letter will eventually arrive for Hogwarts.
As a Clinic Assistant team here at Aligned Health I bring with me a vast knowledge of experience after working within patient care, customer services and retail roles. I am really happy to be a part of this wonderful, warm and friendly team and looking forward to giving a warm welcome to all our patients.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, going on holidays and touring in our caravan with my Welsh Terrier, Bethan, at my side.
I’m the Practice Manager at Aligned Health, which means it’s my job to keep the clinic running efficiently and effectively and to ensure that the amazing team have everything they need to deliver exceptional service and care.
Having previously gained over 20 years of experience within the hospitality industry I know what a difference having superior customer service can make. Due to this, my goal is to ensure that every patient receives the best possible experience from the moment they first contact us and throughout their Well Being voyage.
I am extremely passionate about my role as Practice Manager because I care about each and every one on of our patients and also about the exceptional team who work at Aligned Health. For all of us it’s about delivering a first-class service to all our patients.
I love spending time with my family when I am not in the clinic. My little boy, wife and I love taking our dog, Sheldon, for walks. I am also passionate about cooking and love nothing more than experimenting with new ingredients and ideas on the rest of my family.
I graduated in 2005 from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic with a 1st class honours degree in chiropractic. I have worked as a Chiropractor in Chester since graduation, where I have continually strived to develop both my skills and knowledge base.
I oversee the entire clinic and all the practitioners. I am fully registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC), and am a member of the British Chiropractic Association (BCA). In addition to this, I am also a licentiate member of the Royal College of Chiropractors (RCC), and was awarded specialist membership of the Pregnancy and Paediatrics faculty in recognition of my training and special interest.
Outside of clinic I enjoy canicross, a sport which involves running whilst harnessed to your dog (mostly trying to avoid being pulled over by Toby, a 35kg German Shorthaired Pointer!)
