At Aligned Health we are proud of our amazing Team who offer the highest possible level of patient care
with honest and realistic advice.
Helen graduated in 2005 from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic with a 1st class honours degree in chiropractic. Helen has worked as a Chiropractor in Chester since graduation, where she has continually strived to develop both her skills and knowledge base.
Helen has a vast experience treating a wide range of conditions and has helped people of all ages and abilities. She has a special interest in pregnancy and paediatric care, utilising gentle techniques including Cranio-Sacral Therapy and techniques specifically developed for pregnant women and children.
Outside of clinic Helen enjoys canicross, a sport which involves running whilst harnessed to your dog (mostly trying to avoid being pulled over by Toby, a 35kg German Shorthaired Pointer!)
Helen is fully registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC), and is a member of the British Chiropractic Association (BCA). In addition to this, Helen is also a licentiate member of the Royal College of Chiropractors (RCC), and was awarded specialist membership of the Pregnancy and Paediatrics faculty in recognition of her training and special interest.
I graduated in 2019 with a Masters in Osteopathy from Swansea University. I decided to join Aligned Health and the fantastic team that Helen has built in order to better my knowledge regarding patient wellness.
I chose to study osteopathy as I have always wanted to work in healthcare so that I could help others achieve their desired health and wellbeing goals in a progressive, alternative approach.
I appreciate every aspect within osteopathy, however, my favourite part is working holistically with every type of patient, young and old.
Outside of work I enjoy travelling and walking along coastal trails especially with family and friends. I am an avid photographer and a, known for meticulously focusing on getting the ‘perfect’ shot.
Graduated from University College of Osteopathy (formerly known as the British School of Osteopathy) in 2015. I’ve practiced ever since, both in private practice
as well as the NHS.
I’ve worked in a variety of clinics including sports orientated clinics as well as ones specialising in women’s health. I have particular interests in sports injuries, however my interest in women’s health and treating babies and children is growing.
Outside of work I like to play guitar (and other instruments with varying levels of success/proficiency) and I like Japanese martial arts, most notably ju-jitsu and kendo.
I am a regular gym goer (and my workouts are ever-changing) as staying healthy and fit will enable me to help as many patients as possible.
I’ve spent most of my working life in the health and fitness industry. I’ve worked as a fitness instructor, personal trainer, mobile sports therapist and a college sports tutor. After taking a break to look after my children, I wanted to expand my knowledge and gain a new skill and so I trained as a sports massage therapist.
I chose massage because I had seen and experienced its many benefits first hand and wanted to be able to provide those benefits to clients. From easing pain to reducing stress and tension, preventing injury to speeding up recovery time.
Massage is amazing!!
Since I’ve started practicing massage therapy I have grabbed every opportunity to gain experience and knowledge. I’ve worked at many events such as the Chester marathon and half marathon, where I am now a regular on the massage team.
I also have an ongoing role at Chester Football Club as the first team massage therapist where I work closely with the team sports therapist.
I’m really excited to be part of the team here.
I have been a qualified level 4 certificate in Sports Massage Therapy since September 2018.
Absolutely loving my time as a sports massage therapist; and loving my time even more, since joining Aligned Health. Having a team around me with the support and care we provide, not only for our patients; but the support and care between the team makes me excited to provide my services every day.
I find that having a regular massage really benefits the mind and muscles. Sports massage has an added bonus of looking into the cause of an injury, recovery process and preventative measures for the future.
My background has always been into sports and on a weekly basis I help out at gyms and local sports teams offering my services from a physical massage, to educating sports performers about home care as well as explaining now massage is key in maintenance and recovery. I also help out at the Chester marathons, where we give massages to runners before and after which contributes to their muscles being efficiently warmed up as well as being effective in the recovery process.
In 2014 I studied BSc (Hons) Sport Rehabilitation at the University of Hull and graduated with a First Class Honours. Following graduation I worked within the NHS and have since returned to the University of Liverpool to pursue a second degree in Physiotherapy.
I have developed a profound interest in massage and rehabilitation. Both personally and professionally I have experienced the range of benefits massage can provide. I have gained experience in a range of clubs and events including – Hull KR, Hull City FC, Beverley RUFC, Bishop Burton College, British Squash Championship 2017 and Hull University Athletic Union. My experience within the NHS also involved working on Intensive Care providing soft tissue techniques to critically ill patients on life support.
I love fundraising. I have completed my Gold Duke of Edinburgh in Morocco and climbed the highest mountain in North Africa – Mount Toubkal. I also have travelled to Cape Town – South Africa and coached football to over 1500 children. I further sponsored 2 children to attend a sporting school of excellence – both of whom now have funded scholarships.
I’m the Practice Manager at Aligned Health, my role is definitely a busy one! It involves making sure that everything in the clinic runs efficiently and in an effective manner.
With many years’ of experience within a management role, it is my aim to ensure that every individual receives the best possible care and service.
I also lead our team of Chiropractic Assistants covering all aspects of their role – placing a particular emphasis on making sure that our culture, ethos and high standards of quality assurance are always maintained.
The reason I am so passionate about my role as Practice Manager is because I care not only about our patients but also about the exceptional team of people who work at Aligned Health. For all of us it’s about delivering a first-class service to all our patients.
In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym as this is a place where I can go to relax and switch off. I enjoy spending time with family and going out for meals or socialising.
My role in the clinic is as a Clinic Assistant which involved making sure that everything runs as smoothly as possible on a daily basis to enable our wonderful practitioners to focus all their energy and attention on the patients. I have 10 years experience of working in an industry where customer care was a priority and I hope to ensure that every patient feels well cared for after visiting the practice.
My excitement for this role comes from seeing the dedication and passion that the practitioners have for their patients and seeing the difference this treatment can make to peoples lives. There is nothing better than seeing a patient walk out of the clinic with a smile on their face.
Out of working hours, I enjoy spending my time with my husband and children. I am also passionate about football and taking care of our three beautiful rescue dogs.
I recently joined the team at Aligned Health as a Clinic Assistant and have loved getting to know our patients more and more with every day I am here. I enjoy being a part of the team ensuring that every patient gets a warm welcome whilst assisting our practitioners to ensure they have everything they need.
Outside of work I graduated from University of Central Lancaster with an honours degree in History and Politics. I also love all things Harry Potter and still believe my letter will eventually arrive for Hogwarts.
