Hip Pain
Get to know the facts

The hips are large, weight-bearing joints, and as they are involved in nearly all our movements,
hip pain can severely impact our lives.
Pain, although felt in the hip may actually be referred from elsewhere in the body.
Poor function or mechanics of the lumbar spine, pelvis, knees or even feet can impact
the way the hips function. Hip pain can also be associated with osteoarthritis, which can cause
stiffness and reduced mobility over time and the natural cushioning of joints can become worn.
As there are many causes of hip pain, a consultation and thorough examination with a Chiropractor
or osteopath will look to establish the source of your pain with a thorough examination
before recommending a treatment plan. The overall aim is to reduce pain, improve mobility
and limit the need for medication or surgery.
